US NEWS: Florida #1 for higher education
But before we celebrate, the state does not rank so highly for other educational division levels.

Florida higher education may be ranked #1, but before we applaud, the state is ranked just #29 Pre-K–University. Note how poorly Pre-K–12 fares:
- College readiness: #41
- High school graduation rate: #43
- NAEP math scores: #42
- NAEP reading scores: #32
- Pre-K–12: #46
- Pre-K quality: #33
- Preschool enrollment: #12
