Welcome to the CSF Master Inservice Program!
The purpose of the CSF Master Inservice Program is to make available inservice training opportunities for administrators, teachers, and staff associated with CSF member schools.
The Program provides that necessary training for certified and non-certified personnel to acquire, update, and enhance the competencies necessary to carry out their educational and support services responsibilities. The training opportunities are designed to develop professional skills and attitudes based on CSF’s MIP program goals, objectives, and strategies.
This Inservice Program follows CSF’s MIP policies and procedures, as well as the policies and procedures of the Florida Department of Education’s Synopsis of State Requirements and the State Board of Education Rules. The Program covers inservice training, human resource development programs, and certificate renewal.
Steps for Inservice Application and Completion
Following are the steps for schools to successfully provide inservice and garner inservice points for their personnel:
Step One: Registration
Register online in order to provide us with all the data necessary to file this inservice with the Florida Department of Education.
Administrators/School Heads
As a CSF Administrator, you should receive an email invitation to register for the CSF MIP. (If you have not received the email or are new to CSF, please contact the Director of Professional Development, Mrs. Susan Taylor, at one of the following: email: susanataylor@comcast.net or phone: (239) 277-7813.)
If you have assigned another staff person as your school’s local inservice coordinator, please contact the Director so that he/she is sent an invitation email. Both of you must be registered because only school heads can validate that inservice activities are completed. Both administrators and inservice coordinators can access the inservice records of their entire staff, while teachers can access only their own personal records.
It is your responsibility to direct your certified teachers to register using the CSF Teacher Registration link in the MIP Menu or at http://csfla.org/registration.
Teachers
If your school is a member of Christian Schools of Florida, please register using the CSF Teacher Registration link in the MIP Menu or at http://csfla.org/mip/registration.
Step Two: Application for Inservice Activity
Administrators/Local Inservice Coordinators
Based on your staff needs and interests, you determine the inservice activities in which they participate. First, review the inservice Components list and the accompanying word documents. Then, on the Application for Inservice Points form, select your chosen inservice component and complete the application. Next, the Director of Professional Development approves your activity by assigning an activity number which is sent to you by email. When applying for an independent study component, teachers can keep a log of their hours on the Inservice Independent Activity–Individual Record System.
Step Three: Approved Activities
Administrators/Inservice Coordinators/Teachers
View all approved inservice activities at Activities. An activity’s status is considered ongoing until marked with a red completion indicator. Please verify the status of any of your school’s activities at this site, and contact the Director should you believe any status to be incorrect.
Step Four: Completion of Inservice Activity
Administrators/Inservice Coordinators/Teachers
Once an inservice activity has been completed by all participants to the satisfaction of the instructor, the following steps are taken:
- Participants evaluate the inservice activity using the Individual Evaluation offline form. The school must keep these completed forms on file.
- Administrators/Inservice Coordinators use the Report Participants form to indicate all staff who successfully completed the inservice.
- The Administrator or Inservice Coordinator collates the completed Individual Evaluation offline forms in order to update the Summarize Evaluations form.
- The Approving Administrator validates the inservice activity completion from his/her MIP Homepage. With this validation of completion, all reported inservice participants receive the inservice points for that activity. Participants can view their own individual inservice records, while adminstrators and inservice coordinators can view the inservice records of all their school personnel.
